| Latest feed from Lionhearts Lionhearts feature in New Wine Mag 08 Here's an article that appears in the New Wine Mag’ Summer 2008 written by Gary who attended one of Lionheart's weekends. Brilliant it is too! PRESS RELEASE Team Up with CVM June 2008 Lionhearts and Christian Vision for Men team up. UK based Christian Vision for Men (CVM) and Lionhearts are pleased to announce that they are to join forces from June 2008 and will be working together in partnership.Lionhearts, established in 2006, is based and built around a desire to encourage and equip Christian men on a more adventurous journey with God through men’s weekends and group sessions.Christian Vision for Men, headed up by Revd Carl Beech, is a movement with a burning desire to see Christian men energised, equipped and passionate to introduce others to Jesus. “The tie up is an obvious one” explains Mike Rimmington of Lionhearts. “We both wish to see Christian men get something more than they’re currently getting out of life. We want them to unite and we want to support and equip them ..........and after all, we have the same boss!”Carl Beech adds ‘We’re delighted that CVM and Lionhearts are able to work closely together as a team. This will enable us to work more strategically into the lives of Christian men and local churches, whilst also merging our administration, skills and resources. This can only help to make us much more effective in our work”Lionhearts offers both church-based and residential weekend programmes with the aim of providing men with a break from their busy lives and the opportunity to receive thought provoking input through teaching, group discussions, shared recreational activities in addition to offering opportunities for reflection. Lionhearts organise weekends for men's groups as well as running open weekends for men to attend alone or with friends by either utilising a local church venue and facilities, or arranging activities at various rural locations including Wales and the Peak District.CVM, with their many years of experience in working with local churches and a desire to ignite a generation of men to be more effective in communicating Jesus to others, bring both experience and additional credibility to the partnership.Carl Beech says “Both Lionhearts and CVM believe that we can achieve more together than we can apart in the lives of both Christian and non Christian men in the UK. We are delighted to be embarking on this exciting journey together” For further information please contact Rob Dean or Joe Mears at the Christian Vision for Men and Lionhearts offices at:The Barton Manor CourtyardManor FarmStratton on the FosseSomerset. Towards the end of 2007 a new men's magazine was launched called SORTED. This was a long awaited Christian mag with a difference, it wasn't cheesie! It was a bold move on the part of the former eskerpologyst turned editor (you could't make this stuff up), Steve Legg, to launch this publication. What is more he's managed to gather together some big names to write for him, such as J.John, Rob Parsons, Jeff Lucas, Eric Delve, Lyndon Bowring, the list goes on. The biggest suprise of all is that from the start, Lionhearts was asked if we would like to provide regular articles. You can view our recent articles by clicking on the 'Sorted' link under 'Lionhearts Magazine Articles' in the menu bar opposite. Please support this magazine by subscribing ~ www.sorted-magazine.com |
