Ricketts Mill - trout fishery, B&B accomodation Carmarthen Wales Set in a peaceful and tranquil wooded valley, 6 miles from the Historic Market town of Carmarthen. Our l8th Century home is a stone built former millers cottage and was extended some years ago. It lies in 14 Acres and is bounded by two rivers, the Afon Cywyn and Nant Cynnen where small native Brown & Sea Trout will be seen. Although in a quiet and idyllic setting, we are in an ideal position for visiting Countryside and Coast. Ricketts Mill was a flourmill until 1936. The grounds used for grazing and growing produce for the family. Sadly due to neglect the mill was pulled down 12 yrs ago. The cottage was extended before we, Ron & Sheila, moved here in 1995 but we endeavoured to uncover several nice features to the property. |
